Which do you want first?

There have been plenty of ‘good news, bad news‘ jokes.

A wife rings her husband at his office and says ‘Which do you want first, the good news or the bad news?’

He responds apprehensively that he‘s up to his neck in problems at work - please can he just have the good news at present?

She says, ‘Well, the airbag works‘.

Whatever the balance of Good News and Bad News in daily life the Christian message is Good News and Good News.

It is the good news that as we turn to God through Christ he accepts us as we are.

It is the good news that through Christ we can be helped to be what we are not yet.
